CVS coupon policy update

CVS Coupon Policy
CVS doesn’t have a printable coupon policy available.  You have to call Customer Service to discuss the details of their policy.  Use this as a reference, but remember that CVS reserves the right to change their policy at any time.

·       You can “stack” a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon on one item.  You are also allowed to use ECBs to pay for this item, meaning you could potentially pay only sales tax.
·       You can combine a BOGO coupon with a BOGO Free promotion to get both items free.  Remember you are still responsible for paying sales tax on these items.
·       According to customer service, you are allowed (2) $$ off coupons per BOGO Free promotion.
·       When using a $ off $$ purchase coupons (Ex. $5 off $25 purchase), you must have a product total of $25 before taxes and coupons deducted.    Only one of these coupons is allowed per transaction.
** This is current as of May 30, 2011.  I strive to keep these policies current.  Please remember that I am not perfect, and stores can change their policy at any time.  I do attempt to call every few months for any updates to the policy.

Is CVS similar to WAGS in that the number of coupons have to equal the number of items?

You can only use one manufacturer coupon per item, or whatever the terms of the coupon states. (Example $1 off 1 or $1 off 2).

Wags' Register Rewards are actually manufacturer's coupons. This is the reason you have to have filler items to make sure your product/coupon ratio is the same. Wags' store coupons and Instant Value coupons are not counted in this ratio.

Having to adjust the CVS policy again. We got confirmation from corporate that you CAN use (2) $$ off coupons in a BOGO promotion. YAY!!

I received a CVS register "Extracare coupon" this morning for 1873 free gallons of milk. It even states "up to $8409.77 value". I haven't tried to redeem it yet and can't find any information on what I should expect them to offer. I know its a mistake but shouldn't they stand behind it?

Where did you get the coupon, on the bottom of your receipt or at the red scanner? I would call Corporate about it. 1-800-746-7287

I was in CVS today and received a .50 off two dove bars from the machine, and I also had a $1 off two dove bars manufacturer coupon. I tried to use both for the same two bars, but the checker said I couldn't. Was she wrong about that? I expected to get both bars for .50.. but ended up paying the $1 for them.

Tara,
You should have been able to use both coupons. The coupon from the machine is a store coupon. You are allowed to stack a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon.
